The Harborwalk

A new stretch of public boardwalk running the length of the property, connecting the Embarcadero sidewalk to the observation deck.

Part of the approved plan for Bayside Landing was giving a piece of the waterfront back to the town. The harborwalk runs north and south along the wharf, built out over the water on piles, with a timber deck and a cable rail.

It ties into the street sidewalk at one end — with a bike rack where it meets the road — and into the observation deck at the other, so you can walk the whole waterfront edge of the property without setting foot in the hotel.

Planters along the inland edge are given over to drought-tolerant Central Coast planting: beach grass, succulents and native shrubs.
