The Floating Dock
Five slips, and a place to put a kayak in.
A floating dock with five slips sits directly off the wharf, reached by an aluminium gangway — the property's link to the water itself.
Morro Bay's estuary is shallow, sheltered and slow-moving, which makes it one of the gentlest places to paddle on the entire California coast. The floating dock puts that within a few steps of the rooms rather than a drive across town.
Five slips accommodate visiting boats alongside the hotel's own dock space. The gangway adjusts with the tide, which in Morro Bay can run several feet between high and low water.
The Kayaker's Loft sits directly above the dock, which is exactly why it is named that.
