Outlook
Morro Rock and the open bay

Bayside Landing is not open yet. The project is approved and heading into construction — an opening date will be announced here once the build schedule is confirmed.

Our flagship suite faces Morro Rock straight on, with an unbroken line of sight across the water from the bed, the deck and the soaking tub.

The Morro Rock Suite occupies the prime corner of the wharf. Its glazing wraps two elevations, so the Rock is in the frame from almost anywhere in the room — at sunrise when the granite goes pink, through the afternoon haze, and again at dusk when the harbour lights come up behind it.

Like every cottage at Bayside Landing, the suite is a single-storey gabled structure built out over the water. The ceiling is open to the rafters in natural Douglas fir, the walls are cedar and painted shiplap, and a band of the cottage's signature red runs along the eave line inside and out. A private deck sits directly above the bay, close enough to hear the water working against the pilings.

The suite's stained-glass detailing picks up the same motifs used in Reggie's Place downstairs — sailboats, kelp and the Rock itself — throwing colour across the floor on bright afternoons.

Common questions

Can you actually see Morro Rock from the room?

Yes. The Morro Rock Suite is oriented so the Rock is visible from the bed, the private deck and the soaking tub. It is the only suite with a direct, unobstructed line of sight.

How large is the Morro Rock Suite?

Like all seven suites it is 384 square feet, built as a single-storey cottage on the wharf with a vaulted ceiling open to the rafters, which makes the volume feel considerably larger than the footprint.
