The most characterful of the seven — heavier timber, canvas and leather, set alongside the wharf where the trawlers tie up.
Morro Bay's fishing fleet has worked this harbour for a century, and the Fisherman's Quarters is a nod to that rather than a costume version of it. The materials are honest — heavier wood, canvas, leather, charcoal wool — under the same vaulted Douglas fir ceiling as every other cottage.
The room sits alongside the wharf where the trawlers moor, so the view is rigging, outriggers and working water rather than open bay. In the early grey light before the fleet goes out it is the best room on the property.
A deep olive eave band matches the cottage's exterior trim.
